Support for Health Professionals

Physicians:

PATSA can be a great support to your patients diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome and their family members.  PATSA can help them understand TS and the co-morbid conditions, provide training for their Educators, Peers and Community, help them gain necessary accommodations in the school setting and provide community support through events and activities.  Individuals and families can register or become a member by clicking the buttons on the left.  We welcome your direct referrals!!

PATSA is also available to train your staff, medical practice or Residency Program. Our training promotes awareness of our organization, explains how we can help your patients and their families, and provides you with real life examples of how TS and the co-morbid conditions can affect education and your patient’s day-to-day life. Please contact us at 1-800-990-3300 or by email to info@patsainc.org to make training inquiries.

PATSA also offers the following to Physicians:

Brochures in both English and Spanish for your waiting rooms.  Print English or request a free pack to be sent to your office.  info@patsainc.org

Materials pack for your own reference or as handouts for your patients.  Print one more more of the following: TS Primer, Symptom Sheet.

Request inclusion in our Physician’s Referral List.  If you have interest and experience in working with those with TS, we want to add you to our list.  Please fill out the form and send to PATSA, 18 High St. #68, Hanover, PA 17331 or scan and email to sherrie@patsainc.org.

Nurses:

Our organization was founded by an R.N. and with that in mind we continue her tradition of training nurses to meet the needs of those with TS.  Through partnering with York College, we have trained aspiring nurses yearly for over 8 years. Please reach out for support, information or to schedule a training for your medical practice or school nurses. We are also happy to hear about your upcoming Health Fairs, Disability Fairs and other events where we can be of service. Individuals and families can gain support by registering with us at “Join Us” above.

Behavioral Healthcare Services:

Therapeutic Support Staff are frequently asked to assist those with TS who have other behavioral differences.  PATSA can help support you by providing information, attend meetings to aid in understanding this complex condition or by providing training to your staff.
